Services

Where I spend the time

Most clients come to me with one pressing problem and a finance team that’s stretched. I take ownership of that problem, fix it properly, and leave behind processes your team can run without me.

Fractional CFO

An ongoing seat at the leadership table for companies that need CFO judgment but not a full-time CFO.

  • Board and investor reporting
  • Cash planning and runway
  • Pricing and unit economics

Interim CFO

Steady leadership through a CFO transition, keeping the close, the lenders and the board on track until the permanent hire lands.

  • Leadership continuity
  • CFO search support
  • Clean hand-off

FP&A build-out

Budgets, driver-based forecasts and KPI packages that management actually uses to run the business.

  • Annual operating plan
  • Rolling forecast
  • SaaS metrics and dashboards

Post-acquisition finance

Integration of acquired businesses into one reporting structure, with the controls a PE sponsor expects.

  • Multi-entity consolidation
  • Close calendar and controls
  • Lender and covenant reporting

Systems & ERP

Selection and implementation of the finance stack, so the numbers come out of the system instead of a spreadsheet.

  • NetSuite and Sage Intacct
  • Chart of accounts redesign
  • Revenue and billing workflows

Transactions & readiness

Preparation for a raise, refinancing, audit or exit, informed by years on both sides of diligence.

  • Diligence and data room prep
  • Quality-of-earnings support
  • SEC reporting experience

Who I work with

Built for companies in motion

The common thread is change: new owners, new capital, new systems or a new leader. That’s where an experienced CFO pays for themselves fastest.

i.

PE-backed portfolio companies

Sponsor-ready reporting, add-on integration and value-creation plans.

ii.

Venture-backed SaaS

ARR, retention and burn metrics that hold up in front of investors.

iii.

Search fund acquirers

The first 100 days after close, from cash controls to the first board pack.

iv.

Founder-led companies

Professionalizing finance ahead of growth capital or a sale.

Engagements

Three ways to work together

Every engagement starts with a short conversation about what’s keeping you up at night. From there we agree on scope, cadence and a clear definition of done.

Recurring

Fractional

A set number of days each month, with monthly reporting, board preparation and on-call access for leadership decisions.

Time-bound

Interim

Two to five days a week through a leadership gap, scoped to a defined end date or to the start of a permanent CFO.

Fixed scope

Project

A single deliverable with a clear finish line: an ERP rollout, a forecast model, an integration or transaction readiness.

I’ve spent more than 25 years in finance, including three turns as CFO of PE-backed, venture-backed and public companies.

My career started at PwC in audit and transaction advisory, which taught me how investors, auditors and acquirers read a set of financials. As a CFO I’ve led SEC reporting, multi-entity consolidations, ERP implementations and the build-out of FP&A teams, often while the business was being bought, integrated or recapitalized.

I founded Harbor Point Advisory to bring that experience to companies that need a senior finance leader for a season rather than forever. I work directly with each client; you get the person you hired, not a rotating bench.
